Heady Glass Gallery has some stuff cooking in the oven..

This July were paying special attention to their slide department. Slides are quickly becoming some of the most sought after pieces of collectible glass art, and unfortunately there are few places to acquire these slides! Don’t sweat it! Heady Glass Has slides from all the hottest artists being made RIGHT NOW!
We have some special martinis and push slides coming in from the master, Kennaroo. Possibly even some special Window & Dichro slides! Everyone has been going bonkers over Kennaroos new slides, and we are stoked to be getting his work in!




Also in the line-up is one of our personal favorites, Big-Z! We told Z that we want some of the nicest, most mind-blowing slides he could pull off. By the grin on his face, we knew we were in store for something special! Keep an eye out for the Big-Z Monster Heady slides! Only 3 are gonna be made, and they'll even come with limited edition gong stands!
We also talked Z into doing some Inline style ashcatchers. The functionality of inline AC's has been taking over lately. Just Like a Ferrari, we felt the need to mix that top end performance with the sleek, heady, color work of Big-Z!

Hedman Headies is on their way in as well. As many of you have seen, they make some of the most eye-catching tubes in existence. Hedman has always been recognized for his contrasting color ways, and work that just jumps out at you! Hedman Headies was the originator of the new STEMLESS INLINE tubes that have become so popular. Don’t sleep on these.

Last but not least, keep your eye out for some Luke Wilson work making its way in the near future. Luke keeps people guessing with his one-off style and head scratching Glass on Glass designs. Inline anything seems to be his specialty, but he is also widely appreciated for his fade to clear, and over-all color work. Did someone say detachable 6-arm AC?

Eat candy, chug coffee, or drink Red Bull by the gallons if you have to, just don’t sleep on these pieces! They will NOT be here long!

Heady Glass Gallery X Family Affair.....

Heady Glass Gallery was lucky enough to display some of our most Heady creations during an awesome event thrown by local shoe/streetware powerhouse, Family Affair! (www.familyxaffair.com)

The turn out was great, as was the vibe from everyone in attendance. The pipes drew weird looks the whole night, but was often followed by a spike of excitment. Not too many people are aware of what can be created from glass. Family Affair set up some extremely well matched displays, that accented the pieces to the point they were practically jumping out at you.

Cowboys King facet Bubbler was a huge hit, along with Lostin Glass' Chillums that were tastefully matched with a deadstock pair of Tiffany Nike SB's!

Aside from awesome Clothing, Shoes, and Glass, NYC Rap Trio Tanya Morgan were in attendance!

What ya know about Dave Colton???

Just as the temperature is getting hotter here in Colorado, so is the functional glass art scene! In recent months, Heady Glass Gallery has met with what most would call the best of the best from Colorado. Names like David Colton, Big-Z, Jason Hedman & Hedman Headies, Sneeze B, and Kind Creations are becoming the big buzz between locals. Well, this summer you will be able to find all these awesome artists and more at Denver’s ONLY Gallery, Heady Glass.

The amount of respect we see coming in for these artists are unbelievable, and it’s easy to see why!

David Colton has been blowing glass into CRAZY creations for over 13 years now, and it’s easy to tell. He consistently uses Italian lampworking techniques in his work to insure the most structural integrity possible, while not scraping aesthetics in the process. What are the biggest questions we get asked on his pieces? "Is this sculpture also a pipe?" Sure is!

Anything from small sandblasted dry pieces to HUGE forced perc bubs that come complete with custom welded stands for display. This guy thinks of everything!




If you can pull yourself away from Colton’s work, you’ll probably also notice the Big-Z pieces. Everything from Glass on Glass Slides to inlines, and even big diffused Heady Bubblers.
Big-Z's methods are refined on a daily basis, and every piece seems to push the envelope a little further. Center placed snorkel carbs, perfectly marved cans (no wobble AT ALL!) and of coarse more colors then a dog that ate a box of crayons. Keep an eye out this summer for some super exclusive Z work showing up at Heady Glass Gallery!




Every once and a while, were lucky to meet up with one of Colorado’s newer glass artists, Sneeze B. This guy can sculpt like a mad man!

We brought in some of his most popular Skull dry Sherlock’s and they were a HUGE hit with our collectors. Each one is hand sculpted so each one is going to be unique. The functionality of these pipes is what really blows people away. They work excellent!
Keep an eye out for some Big-Z X SneezeB Collabos this summer!


And last but not least, you will see a BUNCH of Hedman Headies. Easily one of the most underground tube manufacturers, but still recognized by seasoned collectors and lamp workers alike. Jokes have circulated that Hedman is really a machine, but the fact is he’s just dedicated to making some of the illest pieces on the planet, and he’s doing just that!

Hedman Headies: Possibly the headiest tubes ever?!?

In glass collecting there are certain artists that have a secret kind of persona. Their rare to find, and even hardier to acquire their work. These are the artists that collectors strive to find, so like wise it is a goal of ours to bring in this work to display to you. One of the biggest of our time is an artist by the name of Hedman. He runs Hedman Headies, which has quite a history...
Hedman has worked with some of the top artist in the industry, and still has the ability to leave the masters of lampworking in jaw-dropping awe. His lines are clean and crisp, along with his welds when these two become meshed together in a piece of functional art, the final product is propelled to another level. It's not just a piece of functional glass anymore. It’s a Picasso, or a Michelangelo, or a Monet. This level of art has been inhabited by Hedman Headies for years.
